Certificates are managed in ibaCapture in the Certificates node. Certificates are required to establish trustworthy encrypted network connections.

All registered certificates are listed in a table.

Each row refers to one certificate.

By default, the columns Name, IP Addresses, Properties, DNS names, Issued By, Expiration Date, and URI are displayed.

If needed, you may add or remove other columns via the context menu.

The Name column holds the name of a certificate. Different cerficates may have the same name, thus it is not unique. Only the finger print of a certificate is unique.

The symbols in the Properties column have the following meaning:

The certificate is trusted as long as it has not expired.

This certificate is not trusted.

A private key for this certificate is available.

This certificate is invalid. If the certificate is invalid because it has expired, the expiration date will also be highlighted in red.

The Expiration Date column shows the date on which the certificate expires. The certificate can no longer be used after this date. The certificate must then be renewed or replaced with another valid certificate.

An expired certificate is marked with a red expiration date.
