If user rights are restricted for a camera, each ibaCapture view has to login.
This is represented as follows in ibaCapture-Player:
First, the user has to login to be able to view the video. Local users can also change the password here.
User login
A click on <Login as...> opens the login dialog.
The header of the dialog shows the name of the ibaCapture Server you login to. After you have entered user name and password and clicked on <Connect>, a login attempt is started. After successful login, the video of the relevant camera opens. If the user is unknown or does not have the necessary rights, "Access denied" is shown again.
If you have opened multiple camera views in one application that all refer to the same ibaCapture Server, the same login applies to all views. Thus, you need to login to only one camera view. All other views will be logged in with the same login information.
The "Save password" function works differently, depending on the application ibaCapture Player is started in.
In ibaCapture Manager, the password is saved to the view configuration. When starting ibaCapture Manager, the players login with the same user name.
In ibaPDA, the password is saved to the layout.
In ibaAnalyzer, the password is saved to the analysis file.
The password for the admin user cannot be saved.
User logout
You can logout the current user by opening the context menu of the camera view and selecting "Logout user 'xy'...".
Change password
Local users can change their password when logging in. A click on the <Change password> button opens the Change password dialog. Enter your user name and the current password here. For safety reasons, the new password must be entered twice.
