It is possible to add a dynamic text overlay to each camera view. This can be done by dragging a technostring from the ibaPDA signal tree onto the desired camera. The text will be positioned depending on where the signal was dropped.

An overlay text can be removed easily using the context menu (right-click on the text). In the context menu, you can also find the command for opening the properties dialog.

In this dialog, you can configure:

    • font in which text is displayed

    • foreground and background color

    • orientation of the text in the camera window

By right-clicking the background color button, it is possible to select an entirely transparent color. By checking the "Save to preferences" checkbox before clicking <OK>, you can save the current settings as default settings.

If the camera switches to replay mode, the system will attempt to synchronize the technostring with the replay time of the camera. In ibaPDA, this is only partly possible. If the required technostring data is not available, the text “[?]” will be displayed. ibaPDA receives the buffered technostring data at the beginning of the data acquisition. The buffer size is adjustable in the branch "General" – "Size of text signal buffers" in the preferences of ibaPDA.
