From ibaCapture v5.0.0 WIBU CodeMeter licenses are supported, either as CmDongle (USB) or as CmActLicense (soft-license).
A separate manual from iba is available for handling the WIBU CodeMeter licenses.
Existing licenses of ibaCapture v4 remain valid for ibaCapture v5. The license requires that the EUP date stored in the license is sufficient for the maintenance period of the used version of ibaCapture v5.
If the existing license of ibaCapture v4 cannot be used for ibaCapture v5, please contact the local iba support.
ibaCapture Server and cameras are licensed separately.
ibaCapture Server licenses
Different licenses are available for ibaCapture Server. Each license specifies an upper limit of frames per second (fps) transmitted by the cameras in total to the ibaCapture Server and an upper limit of client live-streams from the server.
The amount of frames per second can be increased by purchasing an upgrade license.

Each ibaCapture Server license includes the activation for a connection to an ibaPDA server. If the video data is to be synchronized with other ibaPDA servers, an "ibaCapture-Interface-PDA" is required for each additional ibaPDA server.
The number of client live-streams can be extended with "ibaCapture-Live-Stream Add- On" licenses. Viewing recorded video is not limited.
The integrated RTSP server allows video to be streamed from the ibaCapture server to third-party video players. This way you can watch live video as well as saved recordings, for example with the VLC Media Player. The additional license "ibaCapture-AddOn-RTSP-Server" is required to use this function.

Camera licenses
Camera licenses are required in addition to an ibaCapture Server license. ibaCapture supports analog cameras, IP cameras, virtual cameras as well as cameras compatible with GigE Vision®. The total number of configured cameras is limited to 64.
Different licenses are available for recording cameras, display-only cameras and virtual cameras. Virtual cameras are required to record HMI images or output images of ibaVision. An ibaCapture-1CAM-GigE license is required for the use of a GigE camera. An ibaCapture-1CAM-Optris license is required for the use of an Optris thermal camera.

ibaCapture-1CAM-REC and ibaCapture-1CAM-GigE are not strictly usable for these camera types only. With ibaCapture-1CAM-GigE licenses, all camera types can be configured and operated. If a free ibaCapture-1CAM-REC license is available, it can also be used for virtual cameras or cameras without video recording. |
Product updates
The purchase of an ibaCapture license includes free product updates for a period of two years from the purchase date.
By concluding a maintenance contract, ibaCapture users are entitled to install product updates during the term of the contract and continue to benefit from continuous improvements and new features.
