To configure LAND Ametek thermal cameras, you will need the IMAGEPro software from LAND Ametek.

For example, you can use IMAGEPro V2 to configure the measurement areas and color settings for the temperature display. You can then import the configuration files exported here into ibaCapture.

Settings – camera access

Click <Discover> to find LAND Ametek thermal cameras.

Select the desired camera from the list; the fields on the left—such as camera address, port number, and device type—will be filled in automatically.

Check camera access using <Check camera access>.

Settings – Configuration

In the Measurement areas section, load the configuration file for measurement areas (*.landroi). The measurement areas are listed in the table. In the table, you can configure the following settings for each measurement area:

  • Display position of the temperature value (relative to the measurement area): none, top, bottom, left, right, center

  • Display of the hotspot temperature (highest temperature in the measurement area)

  • Display of the coldspot temperature (lowest temperature in the measurement area)

  • Emissivity for the measurement area

In the IMAGEPro V2 configuration section, load the configuration file (*.landconfig) for camera settings.

In the Color palette configuration section, load the configuration file for the temperature display's color settings (*.paletteconfig).

Display settings

You can choose Celsius, Kelvin, or Fahrenheit as temperature unit. Additional display options include a reference color scale for temperature and the hotspot/coldspot temperatures for the entire area.

Network settings

The port numbers are set automatically, but can be changed:

  • Control port: Communication with the ibaCapture server

  • Video output port: Video stream processing

  • ibaPDA output port: Outputting temperature data to ibaPDA

  • ibaPDA input port: Receiving data from ibaPDA to control, for example, the camera's shutter and focus

Video encoder configuration

Select the desired encoder from the drop-down menu: The corresponding configuration options are displayed accordingly. The following options are available:

  • NVIDIA Encoding

  • Intel Quick Sync Encoding

For more information, see the chapter Video encoder.

Display of thermal cameras

Each measurement area is marked with a rectangle. The hotspot, coldspot, and average temperatures are displayed for each measurement area as well as for the entire area. You can display a reference color scale for temperature values on the side.
