Irrespective of whether or not using a trigger, all aforementioned setup options for video recording require the video images of all cameras to be always saved by ibaCapture Server. Using video triggers only affects the marking of specific video sequences and even stopping and restarting the measurement only affects the link between data file and video file. The actual video recording is done independently unless it was disabled for individual cameras in the configuration of ibaCapture Server.
From ibaPDA version 6.29.1 and ibaCapture version 3.5.0 and higher, you can enable or disable the video recording with digital output signals from ibaPDA.
The related settings are made in the Outputs tab of the I/O Manager.
For each configured ibaCapture module, i.e. for each ibaCapture Server, there is also a module in this section. For each camera, you can define a digital signal or a boolean expression to control the video recording of the corresponding camera. If the expression is 'true', the recording is enabled or disabled according to the selected camera recording mode.
With a checkmark in the "Active" column, you determine whether or not the control of the camera is enabled.
If you enable the recording control for a camera in ibaPDA, please consider the basic camera settings in ibaCapture Manager.
