If a PTZ camera is connected to ibaCapture, this can be controlled by output signals of ibaPDA.

A prerequisite is:

  • ibaPDA version 6.31 or higher

  • Controlling the PTZ cameras with ibaPDA needs to be permitted in ibaCapture.

The output signals for controlling the camera are configured in the I/O Manager of ibaPDA. Add an ibaCapture module in the I/O Manager and select the Outputs tab.

Analog tab

In the Analog tab, 4 signals appear for each configured camera. Using the expression builder, you can assign values to the signals.

  • Pan value, tilt value, zoom value: absolute pan, tilt and zoom values of the camera position

  • Preset position index: using an index, a position from the configured presets can be set.

The indices for the presets are counted upwards in the order in which they have been configured. The counting method for cameras working on the basis of the ONVIF standard differs from that for cameras using the VAPIX log, see the following table:

Digital tab

In the Digital tab, 4 digital signals appear for each camera, each belonging to the 4 analog signals. By means of the digital output signals, the analog signals are activated or deactivated.

n the Digital tab, the signal Recording control additionally appears. The recording can be activated or deactivated with this signal.
