You can find further buttons in the toolbar of the designer which can be useful for the layout of the different objects.

The positioning always refers to the object whose control points are filled. This is the first when selecting with <shift> key or the last when working with the frame.
Example: The option “Align to the Top” does not refer to the last object, but to the upper edge of the reference object, this means the one with the filled control points.
