The following new functions and improvements are available in ibaManagementStudio from version 2.3.
Advanced alarm function in the web client
This version of ibaManagementStudio offers a comprehensive alarm function. The alarms for the individual systems and the server are displayed in the web client. For each system, you can view the current alarms and an alarm history on the Alarms tab.
For more information, see Alarms on system level.
If there are server alarms, a notification icon appears in the menu bar at the top right, which you can also use to open a detailed view. Alternatively, you can also open the server alarms via the root folder in the system overview. For more information, see Server alarms.
Alarm configuration
With the ibaManagementStudio+ license, you can configure alarms for ibaManagementStudio Server and the connected systems. In the Alarm configuration menu, you can set the alarm rules, severity, and notification. The alarm settings can apply globally to all systems or be changed for individual systems.
For more information, see Alarm configuration and Alarm list.
New in the Status application
License updates via ibaManagementStudio Agent Status
Starting with this version, you can perform license updates for MARX and WIBU licenses via the ibaManagementStudio Agent Status in addition to software updates. For WIBU license updates, a connection to the ibaManagementStudio server is required, which communicates with the iba-WIBU gateway. File-based WIBU license updates are not supported.
For more information, see Updates via ibaManagementStudio Agent Status.
Selection of the listening interface
Starting with this version, you can select multiple listening interfaces for ibaManagementStudio Server and Agent. You can also select or deselect all interfaces using the All or None options.
In ibaManagementStudio Server Status, multiple selection is available for web client and agent-initiated communication. In ibaManagementStudio Agent, you can use multiple selection for server-initiated communication.
For more information, see Settings in ibaManagementStudio Server Status and Settings in ibaManagementStudio Agent Status.
Selecting a certificate holder for Windows certificate stores
Instead of entering a certificate holder in ibaManagementStudio Status applications, you can select from a drop-down list for whom this certificate is issued. This list also shows the expiration date.
In ibaManagementStudio Server Status, this selection is available for the web client and agent-initiated communication. In ibaManagementStudio Agent, you can use the selection for server-initiated communication.
For more information, see Settings in ibaManagementStudio Server Status and Settings in ibaManagementStudio Agent Status.
Extended context menu for status icon in the taskbar
You can open a context menu via the status icons in the taskbar. For ibaManagementStudio Server Status, there is now the option to open the log folder or the configuration folder.
The shield icon indicates that you need administrator rights to start or stop the service. When you click on it, you will be prompted to perform the action as an administrator.
Connection to systems via host name instead of IP address possible
When you add a new system in the web client, you can choose whether the connection is established via the IP address or the host name of the new system. You can also use this option retrospectively for systems that are already connected.
If the IP address is not static, it makes sense to use the host name.
For more information, see Editing systems.
Save remote login data when updating software in the web client
When you update iba software on connected systems, you need login data for the remote system that has administrator rights on the system. With this version, you can save the login data directly in the update dialog.
You can view and change the saved login data under Settings – Access data for remote systems. This access data is only saved for your ibaManagementStudio user and has no effect on the settings of other users.
Display of the WIBU CodeMeter Runtime version number in the web client
The license information in the web client at the system level now also displays the version number of WIBU CodeMeter Runtime. The already displayed build number is now shown in parentheses.
For more information about displayed licenses, see License information.
