In the main menu under Settings – Server configuration – General, you can find the following settings.

SMTP server

If you enable this option, email notifications will be enabled globally in ibaManagementStudio. Additionally, you can configure server alarm notifications. If you disable this option, all email sending will stop immediately. Your other settings are disabled, but are saved.

Send mail – Server service started / Send mail – Server service stopped

If you enable any of these options, ibaManagementStudio will also send emails when the ibaManagementStudio server is started or shut down properly. In addition, you need to configure the other settings.

Send via email account

Select a sender account for the email notification here.

Cooldown period

Set a minimum duration after sending an email during which no further emails will be sent for the same rule. New events of this type that occur during this period will not be ignored. They will be mentioned in the email sent after the cooldown period has expired.

If you disable the cooldown period, new emails will be sent immediately for any alarms that occur.

Recipients/Recipient Groups

Select the users or user groups from the user management of ibaManagementStudio who should receive the email. Users who belong to multiple selected groups will receive the email only once.

Send test email

Click this button to send a preview email to the selected recipients. This allows you to check the layout and delivery of the email.
