The output channels provide a self-protection function in order to avoid damages to the device under fault conditions in the load circuit as far as possible. In this process, the load current of each of the four channels is monitored for each channel root. The protection range begins at a value of approximately 0.6 A per channel, so it is possible that the channel will already be shut down at this value. This means that all output signals from this module are then set to logic 0.
In this case, status signals report the error condition to the iba applications. The errors can be reset using the applications, but only once the physical error has been resolved.
