The ibaMS16xDI-24V and ibaMS16xDI-220V modules are part of the iba modular system. The design and operation are the same for all modules; they only differ in their input signal level. The description is based on the ibaMS16xDI-24V module as an example.

The modular concept of the iba modular system is based on a backplane panel with a backplane bus. You can plug a central unit and up to 4 additional input or output modules into it. The power supply of the I/O modules is provided by the backplane bus. Each module provides 16 digital inputs.
