In the ibaHD-Manager, Import tab, select the menu button Import data files.....

Make the necessary settings in the Import .dat files dialog.

Path, user name, password

Enter the path of the .dat file(s) to be imported or select it using the browser. If necessary (network drive), specify a user name and password. If the DAT files are stored in a folder structured in additional subdirectories, activate the Check subdirectories option so that all DAT files are recorded.

DAT file password

If the DAT files are protected by a password, enter the password here.

Use the <Test> button to check whether the file path is reachable.

Target

Here select the HD store into which the file(s) is(are) to be imported. All active HD stores of the respective HD server are shown. If the HD store is protected by a password, enter the user name and password here.

Search results and filters

Click the <Search> button to start the search for existing DAT files.

In the "Scan results” table, the DAT files are listed that exist in the set file path and that correspond to the criteria set under the Filter.

At the bottom right under the <Next> button, the total number of DAT files found is shown.

If many DAT files are contained in the source directory, the restriction of the time period under Filter helps. Only .dat files from the set time are then shown.

Depending on the number of .dat files and the store location, the completion of the search results may take a while. There may be slight delays, especially if the .dat files are on one network drive.

All .dat files are opened in the background and the most important information is read out, such as the start and end time.

If .dat files in the search results are not to be imported, remove the check mark in the column Import.

Click on the <Next> button to go to the next step.

A note may already appear at this point that the selected DAT files come from one time range, which is before valid maximum time range of the HD store. Changing the time limit in the HD store configuration may solve the problem.

Data outdated

A .dat file may be outdated if the time period of the HD store is set so that the data from the .dat file is no longer in this time period and would be deleted again immediately by the clean-up function.
