Below you will learn how to install ibaDatCoordinator using the installation wizard.

Some options only appear during the initial installation and not during the update. If you uninstall ibaDatCoordinator manually before installing the new version, the installation behaves in the same way as the initial installation. |

Execute the file
ibaDatCoordinatorSetup_vx.y.z.exeand follow the instructions of the installation wizard. -
If necessary, check the version history in advance.
To do this, click View version history on the welcome page of the wizard.

Read and accept the license agreement.

Select the installation directory (initial installation only).

Select the components to be installed:

Client and server (standard installation, recommended)
ibaDatCoordinator will be installed and executed as a service. Configuration takes place via the client.
Please also note the information in Features of the client-server installation.

Client only
Select this option if you do not want to run the ibaDatCoordinator service on the PC, but only need the client for remote configuration on another system.

Stand-alone executable file
In this case, ibaDatCoordinator does not run as a service, but locally in a separate process as an application. This type of installation is recommended for test purposes.

ibaManagementStudio Agent
If an ibaManagementStudio server is available in the network, you can manage this installation with ibaManagementStudio. Select this option to install the ibaManagementStudio agent. If this software is already installed on your computer, you can deactivate this option.

Update of "WIBU Codemeter Runtime" (only displayed if required)
If you are using the “WIBU CodeMeter Runtime” software for licensing, the installer will check the currently installed version. If the version is out of date, the installation program will offer to update CodeMeter Runtime. Please note that other iba applications also use the software for licensing and can be stopped and restarted during the update. If you do not want to update CodeMeter Runtime, deselect the option.

Select whether a desktop shortcut should be created during installation.

Once the installation is complete, you can choose whether ibaDatCoordinator should start automatically after closing the wizard.
When installing as a service, the ibaDatCoordinator Status app is also installed for the installation and diagnosis of the service. The corresponding status icon appears in the Windows taskbar, see ibaDatCoordinator Status app.

During installation as a service, the system automatically checks whether the resource allocation in the operating system is optimally set in the Windows registry file. If tasks with high resource requirements are to be performed, optimization is recommended. You can perform this process manually later via the ibaDatCoordinator server status. |
