Similar to the copy/move/delete task, the upload task allows you to upload files to a remote server. The task can transfer either the DAT file currently being processed or the result of a previous task (e.g., a PDF file).

The task-specific settings are explained below. For all other settings, see General task settings.

Connection

Protocol

Here you can select the transmission protocol. You can test the respective connection settings using the <?> button. The connection settings differ depending on the protocol.

Connection settings FTP

For the connection via FTP, the server and the port (default setting: 21) are required. For authentication, you can enter your user name and password or alternatively use anonymous login. Then both the user name and password are "anonymous".

In the Encryption field, you can specify whether the simple unsecured variant (no encryption) or one of the encryption methods should be used to call up FTPS. When you select an encryption method, you can specify a certificate to be used to establish the connection. Alternatively, any certificate can be accepted by the server.

Under FTP Mode, you can switch between active and passive mode.

Connection settings SFTP/SCP

For the connection via SFTP or SCP, the server and the port (default: 22) are required. Authentication can be done with a user name and password.

Connection settings Amazon S3 Bucket

In addition to the region for the connection to Amazon S3, the Access key ID and the Secret key of an AIM user with the appropriate authorization are required. Further information can be found in the AWS documentation (Amazon Web Services).

Azure Data Lake/Azure Blob Storage

To connect to Azure Data Lake, you must specify the Account name and Shared key or Blob SAS token for the data lake. Further information can be found in the Azure documentation.

Remote path and Target

In the Remote path field, specify the destination folder on the target system. Subdirectories can be created automatically in relation to this directory (see chapter General task settings)

With the option Create ZIP archive it is possible to pack the DAT file into a ZIP archive before uploading.
