In the TCP/IP Watchdog view, you can configure a watchdog that sends a TCP/IP message at regular intervals via a specified port. These messages can be monitored using appropriate applications.

The messages configured here are sent regardless of whether a job is currently running or not. You can establish an active or passive connection to the recipient of the watchdog message. In passive mode, several systems can receive the messages. You can change the transmission cycle in the cycle field. The transmission cycle is 10 seconds by default.

The watchdog messages can be sent as text or in binary format. In binary format, the message length is limited to 464 bytes, so that up to 16 jobs can be recorded. For further information on the format of the watchdog message, see Watchdog message.

The Status section shows all connections from or to ibaDatCoordinator.
