Configuration options in the status app

The ibaDatCoordinator Status app offers functions for monitoring and configuring the ibaDatCoordinator service.

Priority of service

You can define different priorities for the ibaDatCoordinator service. The default value is "Normal".

If you choose a higher priority the process is given more CPU-time. Lowering the priority makes more CPU time available for other processes. Leave the setting at "Normal" if you are only using one or a few jobs and there is sufficient time to complete the tasks.

If less time is available and you want to avoid other processes interrupting the execution of the jobs, select a higher priority. If the priority of service is changed, the ibaDatCoordinator service will need to be restarted.

Automatically start service when windows starts

If this option is selected, the ibaDatCoordinator Status application starts automatically when you log on to Windows.

Start the service using the most recently saved configuration

When enabled, ibaDatCoordinator starts with the most recently saved configuration. If this option is not enabled, the client starts with an empty configuration.

<Optimize system resources>

If you click on this button, ibaDatCoordinator checks the resource allocation in the operating system and corrects the settings in the Windows registry file if necessary.

If this optimization is not carried out, the number of simultaneously available ibaAnalyzer instances is reduced to a maximum of 6.

When you perform this action, ibaDatCoordinator saves a backup of the affected registry entries in the program folder.

Status

In the status display, you can see if the service is running or not.

<Start>, <Stop> and <Restart>

With these buttons, you can start and restart the ibaDatCoordinator service.

Stopping all jobs and the service can take a long time, especially with extensive configurations. If necessary, all processes involved can be manually forced to stop immediately using the <Force stop> button.

Port

The port number through which the ibaDatCoordinator service communicates with the client. If necessary, you can adjust the port number using the <Change> button. The default port is set to 8800.

Note

When installing in existing networks, the port number might be used by other devices or processes, or the port number might be blocked by the firewall. In such cases, the operation of the ibaDatCoordinator service, e.g. starting and stopping jobs, is not possible (no connection to the service, red header bar in the client). In this case, change the port number so that it can be used only by ibaDatCoordinator and/or is approved in the firewall.

Open ibaDatCoordinator client

To open the ibaDatCoordinator client directly from the status app, click on . The client then automatically connects to the correct server.

ibaAnalyzer – Executable

Path to the ibaAnalyzer.exe application (read-only)

If no ibaAnalyzer installation was found, this is also displayed. To test the path and open ibaAnalyzer, click on the button with the ibaAnalyzer icon.

<Transfer ibaAnalyzer settings>

Settings of ibaAnalyzer, like default settings, macros and filters are usually stored in relation to the user. If ibaDatCoordinator is installed as service, the user accounts of ibaDatCoordinator client and service can be different. If ibaAnalyzer-settings for the tasks that are to be fulfilled have been finalized and saved under the client user, these settings are not available to the service for processing tasks as the service starts ibaAnalyzer under a different user account. Executing a macro, for example, would not work.

Click the button to transfer the ibaAnalyzer settings from the local user account to the system account so that they are available for ibaDatCoordinator or ibaAnalyzer to perform the analyses.

This applies in particular to the printer settings. It may be necessary to run the service under a different user in order to be able to use network printers.
