For external file jobs, in addition to the default settings, configure the cycle, the directory to be monitored, and the file format to be converted.

Process External file files instantly
When activated, ibaDatCoordinator immediately begins processing the closed external file. If you disable this option, new, unprocessed files will only be processed when the directory is scanned again (see field Rescan for unprocessed files every... minutes).
Do initial scan for external files unprocessed by previous session
When enabled, the file directory is scanned for unprocessed files as soon as ibaDatCoordinator starts. If you disable this option, new, unprocessed files will only be processed when the directory is scanned again (see field Rescan for unprocessed files every... minutes).
If the processing of unprocessed files has no priority, you should disable this option, as this might overload the CPU when the process is started.
Rescan for unprocessed external files every... minutes
This option allows you to specify the interval at which ibaDatCoordinator regularly scans the directory for unprocessed files.
If you disable this option, only external files that are picked up by the Process external files immediately option will be processed.

External files
Specify the source directory where the external files to be processed are located. You can enter the name of the directory or select the directory using the browser button. If a network drive is to be accessed, you can enter the network path in UNC notation with user name and password here, for example. To test whether ibaDatCoordinator can access the specified directory, click on the <Check path> button.
File Format
Select the file format to be processed. Only files with the corresponding format (and File extension) are processed. The following formats are possible:

Several file extensions are possible for text files (*.txt or *.csv). You can enter these manually in the File extension field. For text formats, an analysis file is also required for correct reading. All other formats are automatically interpreted correctly by ibaAnalyzer.

Since, unlike DAT files, no information can be stored in the files as to whether the file has already been processed by ibaDatCoordinator, a different mechanism is used. For successfully processed files, you can specify in the Action on success section whether the original file should be deleted or moved to another folder. You can configure the path to the Move option.
Another special feature of the external file job is that there is only one possible task for converting to DAT format, which is added automatically.
