The external file job offers the option of automatically converting external files in supported formats into DAT files. You can process the resulting DAT files as usual with a DAT file job. This allows such files to be integrated directly into the iba workflow.

To use the external file job, you need an additional license depending on the file format to be converted. If you want to convert different file formats, you need one license per format.

Note
	The ibaAnalyzer-E-Dat license is normally required to import external data formats into ibaAnalyzer. Since the functionality is already included in the corresponding licenses for using the external file job, there is no need to purchase a separate ibaAnalyzer-E-Dat license.
