For DAT file jobs, configure the cycle and the directory to be monitored in addition to the default settings.

Cycle
Here you can set the parameters for job timing. Define when and how often ibaDatCoordinator scans the directory for new files. You can select or deselect the following options.
Enabled
The job will only be executed if this option is enabled.
Automatically start on load
When enabled, the job starts automatically as soon as the XML configuration file has been loaded. This is the case if you load the configuration manually via the File – Open menu, or if the ibaDatCoordinator client or service starts.
Process DAT files instantly
When enabled, ibaDatCoordinator processes a new DAT file immediately as soon as it is closed by ibaPDA, regardless of when the next scan is scheduled. If you disable this option, new, unprocessed files will only be processed when the directory is scanned again (see field Rescan for unprocessed DAT files every... minutes).
If DAT files are saved in the network, ibaDatCoordinator might miss newly created DAT files when the network is not active. In this case, iba recommends doing a cyclic or one-time test for non-processed DAT files so that these missing files can be processed.

Do initial scan for DAT files unprocessed by previous session
When enabled, the DAT file directory is scanned for unprocessed DAT files as soon as ibaDatCoordinator starts. If you disable this option, new, unprocessed files will only be processed when the directory is scanned again (see field Rescan for unprocessed DAT files every... minutes).
If the processing of unprocessed files has no priority, you should disable this option, as this might overload the CPU when the process is started.
Rescan for unprocessed DAT files every ... minutes
This option allows you to specify the interval at which ibaDatCoordinator regularly scans the directory for unprocessed DAT files. The time must be at least 0.1 minutes (equivalent to 6 seconds).
If you disable this option, only DAT files that are picked up by the Process DAT files immediately option will be processed.

Retry failed operations every ... minutes
Set the time after which tasks on DAT files marked as failed will be performed again. ibaDatCoordinator scans the directory at regular intervals to perform the configured tasks on files marked as failed.
If you disable this option, only one attempt will be made to process a file and no directory scan will be performed.
Retry failed operations maximum ... times
Here you can define how often a DAT file is reprocessed after a failure. If the maximum number of retry attempts has been made without success, the DAT file is added to a file list of Continuously failed DAT files.
If you disable this option and the Retry failed operations every ... minutes option is enabled, ibaDatCoordinator will not stop trying to process the files marked as failed.
DAT files
DAT file directory
Specify the directory where the data files to be processed are located. You can enter the name of the directory or select the directory using the browser button. If a network drive is to be accessed, you can enter the network path in UNC notation with user name and password here, for example. To test whether ibaDatCoordinator can access the specified directory, click on the <Check path> button.

If you want to use network shares, iba recommends entering the UNC path description (\\Host\network share or directory) to access the file directory. To store files on the disk of an ibaPADU-S-IT device you will have to enter the following: \\<IP-adr. or host name of ibaPADU-S-IT>\RamDisk Optionally, enter "\dat" if it has been configured in the DAT_FILE_WRITE function

Check subdirectories
To also monitor the subdirectories of the source directory, enable the Check subdirectories option. This is required if the DAT files are stored in subdirectories, that are separated e.g. by year, month, week, day and/or hour.
Maximum number of subdirectories to be checked
You can optionally limit the number of subdirectories to be scanned. In the Subdirectory scanning order field, select which subdirectories to include if there are more than the specified number:

Last write time: The specified number of subdirectories containing the most recent data will be scanned (default setting).

Numeric directory names: If directories are named according to a numerical scheme, such as "YYYY2 – "MM" – "DD" (multi-level scheme) or "YYYMMDD" (flat scheme), the specified number of subdirectories with the most recent names or the largest integers in their names will be scanned. Only directories whose names contain an integer are included.
File password
To be able to process password-protected measurement files with ibaDatCoordinator, enter the appropriate password for the data files here. The password is automatically saved in the job.
