It is still possible to read values from an ibaNet750 input module with ibaDAQ and ibaPDA. But you cannot configure it over ibaCMC directly.
Until now, analog or digital sensors were used in ibaCMC and then linked to an ibaNet750 module in the CMU configuration. After the migration, these sensors cannot be used anymore. But they can remain in the system in order to keep the old data.
You can use process signals to get new data from modules in ibaCMC. You can link these signals with an aggregate which is similar to the previously used sensors.

|
Save the ibaPDA project separately, because user-defined ibaPDA configurations are not saved in ibaCMC. In case of a hardware failure the configuration might get lost. |

Proceeding
-
First of all, note down the following information:
-
Sensors, which are connected to an ibaNet750-32xAI or ibaNet750-32xDI in ibaCMC, and the aggregates which they were connected with.
-
Scaling settings of the sensors (range min, range max).
You may do this later, because the sensors will not be removed after migration.
-
Which sensor was recorded by which snapshot or for which status?
-
-
Cut the connection between the sensors and the ibaNet750 modules in ibaCMU-S.
-
Unplug the ibaCMU-S module from the backplane and replace it by an ibaDAQ device.
-
Connect the ibaNet750 module with ibaDAQ via fiber optic cable.
-
Configure the module in ibaPDA.
Set up the scaling of the sensors and give them a meaningful name.
-
Connect ibaPDA with ibaCMC.
-
Execute the following steps on ibaDAQ after migration:
-
Add a process signal module to ibaDAQ.
-
Add the required process signals.
-
Assign the signals of the ibaNet750 module in ibaPDA to the process signals in ibaCMC.
Prerequisites: ibaPDA is connected with ibaCMC, ibaNet750 is connected with ibaPDA and ibaNet750 is set up and configured.
-
Connect the aggregates with the process signals.
-
Define the threshold values for the trends of a process signal if you want to monitor the trends.
-
Add the process signals in the snapshot settings to make sure that they are recorded as well.
