Active slave on an ibaBM-DP device |
The device also supports a collision detection. Before ibaBM-DP activates its own active slaves, the device first checks whether there are already slaves with the same number on the bus. If a slave with the same number already exists, your own slave is not activated.
Note |
|
|---|---|
|
A slave with the risk of colliding is flashing in the bus overview. When validating the I/O configuration after having clicked on <OK> or <Apply>, an error message is shown for the identified collision. |

The status of a slave is shown in the tooltip text when you position the cursor on a slave symbol. By clicking on the slave symbol, you get directly to the detailed view of the slave in the PROFIBUS browser, see chapter PROFIBUS browser.
You will see a detailed diagnostics view of a bus line, when marking the bus connection "X40: Bus0" or "X41: Bus 1". Here, additionally the detected transfer rate, cycle time and the number of masters and the different slave types are displayed.
