The ribbon menu offers three different toolbars: Start, Insert , and Project. For a detailed explanation, please refer to the combit documentation, which you can open using the <?> button.

Start toolbar

You can find all basic tools on the Start toolbar.

Useful features include:

  • <Select> Select objects in the workspace for editing.

  • <Select area> Use the mouse to highlight and select the area of the report you want to enlarge.

  • <Zoom in>/<Zoom out> Zoom in or out of the workspace.
Insert toolbar

The Insert toolbar offers the objects that you can use in the report.

To insert an object in the report, select an object and drag a rectangle in the work area while holding the mouse button. After creating the object, an object-specific window opens.
Project toolbar

On this toolbar, you can configure fundamental report parameters and select the windows to be displayed.

<Layers>

In the Layers dialog, you can define different report pages using layers and edit the layer parameters.

By default, new reports have the "Base," "First Page," and "Following Pages" layers. You can edit these layers and add more.

You can use conditions to specify which level is used for which pages. To define a condition, open the Edit Layer Condition dialog using the <Edit> button.
