In these windows, you can adjust settings for objects, layers, and the preview.

Objects window

This window displays the objects currently used in the report. If you select an object here, a border highlights the object in the view when the corresponding layer is displayed.

Layers window

This window displays the levels currently used in the report.

Information in the Base layer (e.g., headers and footers) appears on all report pages unless you explicitly exclude it using conditions in the properties.

Use the checkboxes to select which layers are displayed in the workspace and in the Preview window.

When you add new objects to the workspace, they are automatically placed on the topmost visible layer.

On the First Page layer, you can define a title page. Use Following Pages to define one or more additional report pages. You can edit the properties of the layers by double-clicking on them, see Ribbon menu in the Report Designer.

For more information, see the combit "List & Label Report Designer" documentation, such as the chapter "Working with layers."

Preview window

This window displays a preview of the selected layers.
