The following functions and improvements are available in ibaAnalyzer as of version 8.4.
Changes to database connections
MS Access support discontinued
As of ibaAnalyzer version 8.4, support for MS Access has been discontinued. When you open an analysis with a configured MS Access connection, a corresponding message appears. Migrate existing MS Access configurations to a different database system.

Revised user interface
The interface for configuring database connections has been revised. When you create a new connection, a separate dialog opens in which you define all connection parameters.
Enhancements for database extraction
Validation of the database schema
The former function "Create default tables" is now called "Check database schema". Use it to compare the table structures defined in the database connection with the actual database schema.
Colored markers indicate mandatory and optional changes to tables and columns. You can apply the changes directly or export them as an SQL script. Before the extraction, the dialog already shows you which tables and columns will be created or modified.

Definition of segment tables via the archive profiles
For database extraction in multi-column format, you now define the segment tables directly via the archive profiles. ibaAnalyzer generates the tables automatically based on the profile settings. The average is always created. Maximum, minimum, standard deviation and values in segment are created if at least one profile has them activated.

Standardized extraction behaviour
Database extraction has been standardized across all supported database systems. Regardless of the database system in use, identical settings result in identical table structures and consistent behavior. In addition, you can now use BLOB columns with all supported database systems.
Object naming (for example table and column names) still depends on the database system and may contain system-specific prefixes or conventions.
Centralized location for log files
Log files from database or file extraction are now stored in a fixed directory that you cannot change. This ensures that the path is always valid and that the log files are stored reliably in one central location.

Extended options for using HD stores
Displaying multiple HD stores in the event table
In the event table, you can now display data from multiple HD stores at the same time. Previously, a newly added HD store replaced the one already displayed. You can now evaluate several data sources in parallel.

Extended signal conditions in HD queries
As of this version, you can compare two signals directly in HD queries, not only against a constant value. To do so, switch the right operand of the comparison between a constant value and a signal.

New length-based delay functions DelayLengthL and DelayLengthV
ibaAnalyzer provides two new length-based delay functions:

DelayLengthL delays a time-based expression by a defined length displacement (in m), based on a length signal.
-
DelayLengthV works in the same way but uses a speed signal (in m/s) to calculate the delay.
These functions are intended primarily for configuring and adjusting material tracking processes in ibaQDR. You can validate the expressions in ibaAnalyzer beforehand and then transfer them to ibaQDR as virtual signals.

New ibaInSpectra features in ibaAnalyzer
ibaInSpectra Expert: Adding speed markers
In the FFT view of InSpectra Expert, you can add speed markers via the marker menu of the view. These markers correspond to the curve of the speed signal. The marker allows you to check how amplitude variations in the spectrum correlate with the rotational speed
Spectrum weighting
InSpectra Expert now supports frequency weighting in the spectrum. A weighting filter adapts the measured values to the sensitivity of the human ear or body for a given frequency range, for example for sound measurements using A/B/C/D weighting or for vibration assessments according to ISO 2631-1 and ISO 5349-1.
You can find this feature in the profile under Calculations if the orders are not active.
InSpectra orbit profile – Automatic centering
The orbit can now be centered automatically. For this purpose, the center of the previous orbits is calculated as an exponential average, and this value is used as an offset for the X and Y input signals.
ibaInSpectra and ibaInCycle: Waterfall view with non-equidistant planes
In the waterfall view, planes are no longer displayed at equal distances when using the z-axis scaling types Plane by time and Plane by signal. The distance between the planes is based on the actual time difference or signal value difference between the planes, so that the display reflects the real spacing of the measurement data.
ibaInCycle circle view with band values
The circle view displays the values of an InCycle Expert module in a circle. Previously, only the sampled values of each cycle could be displayed. Starting with this version, the band values of each cycle can also be displayed. You can configure the bands in the Profile tab under the Bands and Calculations tabs. In the properties of the circle view, the option Display bands is available under Elements – Curve.
