In order to continue to operate the corresponding systems securely, you must install the latest Windows updates on a cyclical basis. Without these updates, vulnerabilities to the respective systems will arise and accumulate.

Since the introduction of Windows 10, cumulative update packages can be obtained for this purpose from the Microsoft Update Catalog ¹. Occasionally, a Service Stack Update (SSU for short) must be installed before installing an update package.
